Samsung has produced many successful smartphones over the years. Their game changer was the Galaxy S7 edge that took the market by storm, focusing on futuristic design the smartphone giant Samsung has produced yet another of its kind the Galaxy S8. It tops the list of the best smartphones released so far in my opinion.
Design and build-
The galaxy S8 is a slim phone with infinity dsplay as claimed by its makers. It has got a 5.8 inch screen with OLED display and the display is streched at the top amd bottom as compared to the s7 edge.
The phone feels great in hand with its slim design and soft around the edges which lets the user have a good grip over the phone.
RECEPTION-
The reception is great as expected from the flagship of samsung.
BATTERY LIFE-
The battery life of S8 edge is satisfying although the battery cap was increased than the S7 edge but the display of the phone takes a toll on the increased battery life. Overall it has a screen on time of 4 hrs with heavy usage.
The phone charges pretty quickly too the first 50 percent fills up in 30 minutes and the rest charges in under an hour.
OTHER FEATURES-
Another advantage of S8 is that its water and dust resistant as well as splash proof which I consider a great plus point, theres no risk of you smartphone getting damaged in water.
The phone is packed with the fastest 835 snapdragon processor and 8 gigs of ram the animations are smooth and fluid and gaming experience is a breeze, as expected from the flagship of samsung.
CAMERA- The pictures taken by S8 are detailed and sharp with a bit of saturation thrown in appropriate places which actually suits the images in this case.
The camera has optical stabilization amd other top specs and improved sensor.
CONS/DRAWBACKS-
There are a few drawbacks of the phone-
The battery life is not much as compared to the flagships by other companies. The battery discharges pretty fast with the screen left on and idle, giventhe display ofthe phone its explainable.
Then theres an issue with the fingerprint sensor which in this case is at the back of the phone which makes it cumbersome to reach with one hand.
The physical home button was removed which takes time getting used to. Other than these there are no such noteworthy issues with the phone.
Should you buy it?
If you are lookimg for a premium phone with high end specs that will not get outdated anytime soon or if youre an enthusiast and price is not a factor to you then this phone is definitely for you. The experience of using this phone is satisfying in all aspects both design and features.
