Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is an old device, launched in 2013. Although it has endured till now, it lacks on features to the core. Complete review:
OPERATING SYSTEM: Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 comes with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, which is upgradable till Jellybean. It does not receive any security patches now.
USER INTERFACE: The user interface is pretty quick, but lags ocassionally. Sometimes, it completely freezes, and restarts on its own. Also, it has bugs in its homescreen and widgets.
HARDWARE: Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 comes in 2 colours- White and Black. It has a complete plastic body which is quite sturdy. It is considerably heavy, but feels firm in the hand.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Android version Ice Cream Sandwich, upgradable to Jellybean
3MP Primary Camera without flash
VGA Secondary Camera
700MB RAM
16 GB internal memory
MY VERDICT: The camera is of no use, and captures nothing nicely. Unavailability of flash makes the pictures even more terrible, Also, 700 MB of RAM is not at all enough, and the tab has to restart itself multiple times to free up RAM for its use. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is one of the most durable tabs, and will blend with you easily. But for an amount of Rs. 16, 000, it offers very little.
