It has a stylish design with a sleek polished outer layer that makes it feel very smooth & soft on the palms.
Nextly the weight of the gadget( though 316gms) isn’t felt upon your hands when you hold it.It is so brilliantly made so that there is equal distribution of mass & hence the slim gadget doesn’t exert much pressure on your hands, even if you hold it for a longer period of time.
This tab-3 series is available in 3 variant sizes, ie, in 7, 8 & 10 inches.
This 8-inched tablet turned out to be samsung’s best sell out of 2013 amongst the 3 tabs.
The 8-inch tablet scores more when compared to the other members of the series in umpteen ways .
STUDENT FRIENDLY NATURE:
8 inch tab, makes it a visual treat for the students to study e-books, newspapers, magazines due to it’s sufficient screen size(as a matter of fact SAMSUNG offers huge screen in the in comparison to any other brand in the market).
Reading PDF-files, word docs, web browsing etc could be done for longer hours without much eye-strain.
This is primarily because of the’ reading mode’ feature tagged in this device which makes the screen(light) optimized for the very purpose of reading.
’ Multi-window option’ enhances the performance of your task at a faster rate.
You can compose a mail to your friend/boss & at the same time watch your favourite video or even surf the net. Likely this option does make a sense in this device in comparison to others with tiny screens that accord little or no use in practice.
It is these features of the 8-inches tab that makes it outstand the 7-inch tab.
PORTABILITY:
Also in terms of portability, being just(1/10)th the weight of a laptop, it’s quite convenient to carry it anywhere & everywhere. In this sense, even the 10-inch tab 3 also loses out to the 8-inch tab.

’ Screen mirroring’ is another additional feature, that enables direct output of files, videos, & other data onto any other bigger screen of our convinience.It’s just similar to that of a projector.

All most all the educative, fun & productive apps in the playstore are highly compatible on this device & they do work pretty well.
The 5 MP camera turns it a highly useful instrument in scanning documents with clarity & the legibility of the entire document remains intact. It also contains a built-in SAMSUNG PRINTER which serves the purpose of printing the scanned documents when connected to a wi-fi network.
The 2 MP front camera makes video calling a privilege. The device comes with a built in video-calling option apart from other alternatives like skype, chat on .etc which serve the purpose

It is the phone(calling) functionality in the SAMSUNG TABs that makes them more preferred compared to it’s rivals that function only on wifi.

Having given the 8-inch capacitive, wide & super-clear LCD screen, reading mode, brilliant camera, high compatibility, the light weighted Samsung tab exerts tougher competition to it’s gigantic & sophisticated rivals such as APPLE .
After using the tab’3’(-T311) for close to 3 months & being a highly satisfied customer, I feel it’s fair enough to recommend the product to the ones who are all set to purchase one.
