This time I am to state only the Prod and Cons of Samsung Guru Music 2. I have used this handset for nearly 6 months and used it very roughly. In one word, this fone is very very reliable. Now I will directly go to the points:
PROS:
1) The fone’s build quality is absolutely great. It has a somewhat matte back cover which has a nice grip.
2) It is very light to hold, weighing just about 78-79 grams.
3) Though display is just of 102 ppi and 2", it is clear and sharp. Icons and fonts are reasonably large.
4) In call voice clarity is very good.
5) Network reception is pretty well if not spectacular.
6) There are several organizer apps like Calculator, Converter, Alarm clock etc.
5) In built music player’s sound output is clear, though not great.
6) Ringtone is loud and clear.
7) FM Radio is there with recording facility. Reception is moderate.
8) Memory Card is supported.
9) Keypad is well spaced and sms typing has no issues.
10) Vibrator is moderately strong.
11) Though battery is of 800 mah, but with some typical daily use like 30 minutes of call, 8-10 sms, 25-30 minutes of music etc it can give u 3 days back up. It can give u even 4-5 days back up if your usage is less than what I have mentioned before.
12) recently its price has been dropped and it is now approx Rs.1500-1650/-.
13) It is a Dual SIM supported fone.
14) Phone Lock is a very good feature. If u set it, after a restart it will ask for password. It is a nice, handy and very useful security feature that most of the Nokia or other companys’ feature fones do not have.
CONS:
1) Contacts storage is 500, it should be 1000 at least and this should be a norm for feature fones.
2) SMS storage is 100. This is the main shortfall of this fone according to me. It should be at least 500.
3) Supplied headphone is not in-ear type.
4) Music Player does not have any equalizer.
5) As this Guru Music 2, there should be dedicated Volume Control so as to enable us to increase or decrease volumes easily. But is not there.
6) In time of an incoming call, u can not silent the phone. And this is common in each and every Samsung feature fone.
Samsung B310E is a very practical fone. If the tiny sms capacity and’no silent’ option during call do not bother u, then u can surely go for this fone. It may give u 2-2.5 years of uninterrupted service.
