I was looking for a new phone for some time nw as I lost my earlier one, Sony W830i ....Before buying, as always, I did a lot of research on my options...My budget was till 14k..
The finalists were : Samsung i450, nokia 5610 and W910 (which was a bit over-budget)...
Now i’ll tell u the reasons I went for Samsung i450
Visual Appeal
The phone looks really pretty, esp. d white one (i wanted to get tat one, but ended up with a black one)...d black one looks avg..the screen is a finger magnet, even d front panel...the body is well designed, as falls don’t damage it too badly...u won’t see those odd scratches comin like in other phones...though the keypad looks a bit odd...it’s nice once u get used as the keys r bigger..One big thing missing is a song change hotkey for standby mode....Now being a music phone, it’s very much necessary to have dedicated music controls....But the good part is the addition of the ipod wheel...though it ends up being a showpiece as most dnt prefer it over long use...

Now if you go for features, many say it lacks WiFi...now I say one should nt expect WiFi in a music phone....WiFi is useful if you havea big screen, somethin like tat of Iphone...Other features like bluetooth, EDGE etc are all there. Being a symbian s60 phone, one can get hell lot of applications for it. but there lies a problem, it’s not tat true simply coz. the s60 used here is nt d same as nokia as most of the aplications tat one uses in a nokia s60 phone do nt work with this phone...this comes a very sad news personally for me, as I miss a lot of those applications :(

The camera provided is a 2mp...the pictures at the highest ratio are nice, won’t call them gr8...Zoomed pictures are agn avg....Flash is provided, but it is of no use as it’s not at all powerful...it’s only good if u takin a close up !!!
As for video, it’s agn unimpressive, 3gp with low quality
All in all, not a camera phone !!
Sound
I love the sound from this phone..After using a Walkman phone, using this didn’t feel too odd !!! It’s loud and very clear !! Though the bundled ear phones are not too great. I would have preferred the in-ear phones....The sound is much better than the nokia xpressmusic phones....
Even the equalizer setting are a lot..the most I would say, though it only shows it’s effect with ear phones or external speakers..
it does lack some music feature as music controls n all.....but d ipod wheel is a nice addition., .
Battery
The battery life is avg....M not too happy with it to be frank !! If you use radio and music player for a long time, the phone starts to die drastically....they say it’s also coz. of the extra bright LCD...watever may be the reason, it’s not satisfactory.
*Final Verdict
The phone is really nice as a music phone, but is far behind as a camera phone...Finally ther’s a new phone from Sony, W595...3.2mp with W series...waitin to get my hands on tat...
As for this phone, if you are looking for a nice Music phone other than Walkman series, go for this over nokia !!!
