So I purchased this phone a week after it launched in India. At first everyone thought it was an iPhone, but slowly the Samsung Galaxy S built a name for itself and now everyone knows about it.
Its basically the first high end Android phone to launch properly in India, and its done wonders for Androids reputation here. The touchscreen quality rivals the 45k iPhone 4, and its features surpass it.
On top of that I love the vast range of free apps and games available on the Android Market.
Also note that while when the phone released the software was just average(and on 2.1 Eclair), its currently on a very stable and fast version of 2.2.1(Froyo) with 2.3 Gingerbread just around the corner! So this means it will support Sonys Playstation Suite, which is a MAJOR plus point.
Here are the cons of it.
-Its made all plastic to reduce weight, This makes it feel like a cheaper phone than it actually is.
-Camera lacks a shutter key and a flash.
-Battery Life is below average for heavy users, especially those coming from Nokia smartphones.
