I bought one of these SAMSUNG SGH-L700 phones in the late September 2009 for just rupees 6400 and I must say, "I am impressed!” it is worth every single buck.
This beauty is built with a classy metal body which gives it a sturdy feel, sleek and chick look. It is equipped with a primary 2 MP camera with flash, a VGA camera in the front for video calling (Yes! this is a 3G phone), super fast processor, good music player and a bright 262K 2" LCD screen for vivid display.
The best part of the phone is its camera which can take some beautiful shots even at low light with flash.
The voice call clarity is amazing; you can hear the other person with ease even when you are in heavy traffic.
The phone also bundles a decent 40 MB of inbuilt memory which is more than enough to install apps like Opera Mini, Nimbuzz etc. However, the handset does not support multi-tasking option in Java. It just means that you cannot really install apps like call cheater software and stuffs which runs in background. The battery backup is also quiet decent which can easily run the phone for two days without having to search for a power source.The phone also supports pdf, word and swf formats for easy document viewing.
Being a Samsung baby, it also supports some conventional features like Mobile Tracker, Call Reject, FM Radio with RDS, RSS Reader, Shohzu link for quick photo uploading and Bluetooth with A2DP.
The keypads are nicely placed for quick scrolling of menus and even for super fast texting. And what actually amuses me is its “Living World” wallpaper which changes as the day change! But sadly, the handset does not support themes. And yeah! What more can we expect from a phone for RS 6400?! I have also been surfing the internet at the speed of broadband since I got a BSNL 3G connection recently. It has got 3G, Great Camera, EDGE, Good Quality Earphones, Vivid LCD and what not!
A great feature riched phone at a very affordable price, it is worth a steal. I was in a misconception that Samsung make only phones, now I can say Samsung make stars too!
