Samsung Max SCH F679

Hmmmm.so this review I am writing after owning this phoen for around 2 months.

In summary I have started liking this phone and would recommend it to people.

I have found some new things about the features:

1. My complain regarding more control on the phone when it is slided down does not stand any more as basically the phone locks the keys when it is slided down. AND there is a way to unlock the kys without having to open up the slider.i accidentally discovered it .somehow did not find this info in the user manual.  So now I can receive calls, end calls and even make calls without sliding up the phone.

   
   




2. Other Very COOL feature about this phone is that it prompts you the phone number you wish to dial after you have punched in a few keys. It will search your phone book, you called list, your received list etc to come up with amazing accuracy on the phone numbers.

   
   




3. I simple love the display and the chants it plays for me everyday morning:) .

   
   

Phone is cool.I feel it was me who needed more patience in learning about the features of this phone before reviewing it .

Ok So I feel that I have been unfair to Samsung Max on my first review.

Now it has been almost 2 weeks or more since I own this phone . The problem I had of phone going into coma was a network problem and amazingly that coincided with my purchase of phone.this issue is sorted now.

The battery issue has also been resolved after I gave it back to the Reliance World and he said it was working fine as it is.I am not sure how thi shappened but he said that the battery could be eaten up as the network might be toggling a lot.

So Cons as of now:

1. I would like to use the phone without opening it everytime I get a phone call. It is possible to configure it but still the phone without sliding up is not usable practically.those buttons simply are disabled.

And Pros:

1. Very cool screen and graphics

   
   




2. It has built in Answering machine that is very useful to me.

   
   




3. Prayer and Panchang feature are also good.

   
   

Overall a decent phone at decent prices.

I bought this phone 2 days back.it has some very srrious issues making it unusable to me:

1. Phone goes into coma during evening.it shows all signal levels and battery levels but simply does not call anyone and does not let anyone contact you. Faced this problem on both days. The problem stays till next day when the phoe is recharged. No.restarting the phone and even taking out battery does not help when phone is in coma.

   
   




2. During the night time when phone is not used it eats up battery at amazing rate. Battery showed almost fully charged before I sleep and in morning found phone switched off because of battery! happened on both days.

   
   




3. Earplug is there but cannot either receive or close a call using button provided with earlplug.

   
   




4. Usability is poor.

   
   

Today I will try to get this phone exchanged.let us see if I am lucky:)

BTW I am not a new user.have been using mobile phones for last 12 years now .so please take the above points seriously for your own sake.:)
