Bought this high-end microwave for ~Rs 30000 from company owned showroom in Alwarpet, Chennai in March 2016. Within one week could sense the electronics panel getting very hot during use. Within one month, the panel started malfunctioning and the microwave started to switch on/switch off automatically without any intervention from our side. Also, when on, the set started switching between modes(e.g., microwave to A1 to H2 etc) arbitrarily by itself, like 5 times within 10 seconds. So scary, that we switched it completely off after one month of use as i didnt want to take any chance with my kid around. Bought this in March 2016, contacted customer care in July. Only resolution offered was change of part - i didnt want any of it as my son uses this and i didnt want to take any chance with a product that has been "refurbished" by a semi-educated repairman. I wanted Samsung to replace the entire set. Which I think is reasonable given it is a high end machine, i got the problem within a month of purchase and reported it within 4 months after patiently waiting for it to resolve. Samsung’s response - no way ! I wrote to the head of products and the CEO - no response. In the end I am forced to go for the Samsung-offered part replacement offer. Is this what Samsung would offer its customers in the US ? or back home in Korea? Is the money paid by the Indian customer not good enough? Customers - please decide for yourself......
