I bought this TV because it looked good, even while it was not ON.
Actually I wanted Sony but it was way beyond my means it was 50% higher priced to this TV. Next comes panasonic it had a 15% higher price. But what the heck, if it’s not a sony, then its not Panasonic either.
I considered LG, Philips and Onida before this purchase, rejected LG & Onida because they were priced higher for no reason, No spl tech was in their Tv’s for asking a higher price. Guessed buying a Higher price TV is foolish.
Then Philips TV comes into the picture.
This one had all the Latest tech, excellent pic quality, sound but the biggest dampener overring everything including it’s price(was chepaer than Samsung) was that it looked Plasticky, tacky build quality and the buttons design was from the 1990’s.
So the decks were cleared for the Samsung 29M16(and not as this site mentions).
If you got all the Money in the world, go for Sony- nothing I know beats it.
If you are a middleclass guy like me want good pic /sound & good looks within ur budget go for this.Philips is also a very good choice if you can bear its looks.
