Digital technology leader, Samsung India Electronics Ltd. announced the launch of its new, advanced, digital ready range of Flat Colour Televisions and Projection televisions in the market. Available in 15”, 21”, 25”, 29”and 34”, the new ‘Plano’ range is characterized by superior aesthetics, higher sound output and additional features like 2 Tuner PIP in select models. The Samsung ‘Plano’ range comprising of eight models is priced in the range Rs.14, 990/- ~Rs.1, 19, 000/-.
The Samsung ’Plano’ flat television range comes with the award winning ’DynaFlat’ technology which ensures perfectly flat images that have no visible curvature when viewed from any angle and remarkable colour purity. The DynaFlat picture tube achieves 20% higher contrast than normal picture tubes on account of the Super Pigment phosphor coating on the picture tube. DynaFlat’s clear panel has a light transmission rate of 86% as compared with 53% in conventional CRTs, resulting in remarkable clarity with brilliant colour saturation. Further, the optimum curvature of the internal surface in the DynaFlat Picture tube helps realise flat images without the concaveness of the conventional flat colour picture tubes. The Digital Comb Filter and Digital Noise Reduction technology in the ’Plano’ minimizes distortion and colour noise resulting in more accurate separation of luminance and colour signals leading to images that are cleaner and softer. The Samsung 29Z4 and 34Z4 Plano models come with the special 100 Hz technology for flicker free viewing and improved picture clarity. These 2 models are equipped with a 2 Tuner PIP and are PC Compatible.
