WATCH OUT FOR INBUILT CONDENSER

I bought my fridge in 2003 frm mumbai. Am an NRI visiting mumbai once in 6 months. To my horror, my last visit- march’06, saw the samsung fridge not working. In fact am 40 yrs and have never in my life ever heard of fridge conking off. Despite a week of having third and fourth opinion, I finally called the service centre. They were a direct rip off as their technician confided--they straight away wanted 2 replace the compressor. The fault is in the INBUILT CONDENSER. Now that was a real mystery to me...

The techncn explained that during the olden days there used to be a grill like piping at the back of each fridge, whcih for reasons 1.cost control 2. asthetics have been replaced by inbuilt condenser[piping]. Which to me meant that now he cant open the damn thing but has now 2 buy and fix a new one at the back of the fridge.

So besides costing me a week of inconvnce, I had 2 shell out Rs.2000/=. And for the first time in my life saw a refridgerator conking off....

MORAL OF THE STORY: BUY ONE WITH THE UGLY LOOKING CONDENSER AT THE BACK...SHLDNT MAKE A DIFF, AS ITS WELL HIDDEN...
