This was the first time I bought something without checking its review on mouthshut and what a nightmare it turned out. I lost my nokia 5130 phone recently and was checking out Nokia 5130 again, when the dealer showed me Samsung Metro 3310. It was priced 4000 (1300 lesser than the Nokia) and had similar features including some new ones
--> 2 megs Camera has different modes and resolutions, timer etc.
--> FM recording (which was missing in the other phone)
--> Free 2GB memory card & goodies from Universal (a scratch guard)
I decided it was a great buy and went for it. I found out the next day that the phone has horrible reception. I use Airtel which has good network at my place. I tried changing sims with a motorola and made calls, which sounded much better than the 3310. If you are travelling in a bus or speak a little softer, then the guy on the other end hears nothing!! This was horrible for me having had the Nokia before.
This was just the beginning. I later found that the overly hyped camera had horrible image quality. Other samsung phones are considerably better and this does not live up to samsung’s own name. Also, whenever I used to put a call on hold and answer another call, the phone used to hang, when the second calls is disconnected. The first caller is permanently put on hold. It has a few games including sudoku, but doesn’t support many applications including mchek. The music player is nowhere near what my 5130 used to be.
All in all, this product is a waste of money.
I made a mistake trying to save 1300 bucks. You don’t make the same.
