Lazy After Sale Service

I bought this phone in June 2009. I was planning to buy an nokia xpress music phone. but, on my comparison study I found that this phone has good features. the best things I liked about this phone was its sound quality and camera picture quality. I was able to take some good clarity pictures with this phone.


The FM was also good to hear since the speakers were excellent. The battery also proved reasonable.


BUT, THIS JANUARY IT SWITCHED OFF AND NEVER GOT ON THEREAFTER. I TOOK IT TO THE AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER, THEY REMARKED THE PHONE AS "DEAD". SINCE THEN I HAD BEEN AS ASKED TO COME ONE DAY OR THE OTHER.


I WAS ASKED TO COME ON THE SECOND DAY, THEREAFTER I WAS ASKED TO COME AFTER FOUR DAYS, AGAIN THEY ASKED ME TO COME AFTER FIVE DAYS, NOW THEY ASK ME TO COME AFTER A WEEK. AS IF IT WAS MISTAKE TO HAVE BOUGHT THIS PHONE. I DO NOW REPENT . THEY SAY THE BOARD HAS BECOME FAULTY AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT. . THE TIME THEY ARE TAKING TO GET THE DEFECT CURED IS REALLY EMBARRASSING, TILL THIS DATE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT AFTER REPLACEMENT.

Today I called the Samsung Service Center again as they had told that the phone will be ready today. But, they asked me to come after February 5, 2010.


What should I call this stupidity? They are saying that the board is not available. This phone was released just last March 2009 and now they say that they dont have any boards. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ENCOURAGING THIS TYPE CUSTOMER CHEATING.


I have decided to approach the consumer court. Mobile phone is now something we need for every day use. Each day of delay is inconvenience. I need to ensure that the company pay off for this. not only for my grievance but for the safety of other customers too.
