The Samsung B130T(T implies torch!) is a great talk and text phone, and unlike other Nokia phones in this range, does not suffer from any restarting problems, battery overheating or a high SAR value.
Leet me get this straight: the battery life of this gizmo is OUTSTANDING! With moderate usage, it can easily last you upto a week or more! Unlike all other phones with a torch, B130T is like a REAL torch! The flashlight is bright and powerful, which you can turn it on by simply flicking a tiny switch at its right side, just like a regular torch. So its independent of the keypad.
Another immensely useful feature in this phone is the Privacy Lock. It lets you lock your messages, or your phonebook, or your recent calls, or the images or all of them with a password!
But doesn’t a security code does the same thing? No it does not. With a security code, others can’t access ANY feature of your phone. But with a privacy lock on, you can choose to lock simply your Messages while all other functions of the phone would be accessible. So you can easily give away your phone to someone, say your grandpa or your pesky little brother to let him or her make a call or use the torch, without worrying that those ultra-secret private messages will be read:D
And this phone has a low SAR value: 0.64
For those who don’t know, Nokia deliberately uses cheap material for phones sold in India and other developing countries, which raise the SAR value. But if you check out the same Nokia phones in the US, UK, Canada or Europe, you’d find that that their SAR value is much lower. And I’m against this discrimination.as if the health of Indian people isn’t that important! A high SAR value means your phone emits greater radiation, and prolonged exposure to such may lead to health problems for some sensitive individuals. Thankfully, Samsung doesn’t resort to such blatant discrimination.
Anyways so much for my bhaashan:) If you need a good phone simply for texting and talking, with a torch, reliable battery and awesome privacy features, this is it.
And btw, if you need FM, go for Samsung B200 or B210. They come with FM and the same privacy features, minus the torch.
