Value for money

The Samsung E880 is a real good phone and very competitively priced. Just bought this after comparing with lots of other phones.

Well…now taking of comparison I compared it with some of the best brands.

Sony Ericsson – I was speechless looking at the features of w700 – its got excellent camera (2MP), decent looks, FM, and MP3. However, most of the ppl I have come across suggested that the battery life is a bug minus and issues with keypad (joystick). In addition, the clarity of voice in Sony is not good.

Nokia – Big one! In every sense, Nokia is big - be its market or its size ?

Nokia phones come with best usability but alas, none of those has that killing look. Nokia 7610 is quite OK – but I personally feel it does not look manly and it also has its share of probs like – no stereo O/P, costs more, bulkier and OS is too slow. Similarly 3230 – god its looks so funny – I feel they earlier decided to make it some flap or slide model but changed there mind and left it with those two boxes – uncomfortable looks. If you go to higher end, you might find a good one, but as I said – Nokia is BIG and only gets BIGGER (definitely in size?).

Motorola – Honestly, I have never been a fan of Motorola. I did check the MotoRazr – to be honest I was not impressed with it. It is slim, but when you open the flap, it looks so BIG. In addition, I used to have a Motorola T190 (oldie) and the software was real pain. Not for me.

Finally lemme list out my findings for E880

Pros:

Extremely good looking

Extremely light weight (88grams)

Decent memory and camera (1 MP)

Rotating camera with flash

MP3 player

Cons:

No FM

No loud speaker

Lil bulky (acceptable for me)
