Hi Guys, This is my first review to this site. Well coming for the Samsung X100 this phone was purchased by my uncle after seeing my phone Samsung C100 cos he taught of taking a low end color mobile. This mobile is perfect competition for Samsung C100, Samsung C110 and Sonyericsson T230. This phone costs around Rs.5800-Rs.6500 around various cities.
The Samsung X100 comes with all features same as Samsung C110, but the display of this phone is some what clumsy when compared with Samsung C110. The main lacking feature of this phone is Irda which can be replaced with the data cable.
The Samsung X100 has a good amount of memory (9MB) which is mainly useful for storing vast amount of SMS messages, MMS messages, Wallpapers and Ring tones. The phone is capable of storing 1000 contact numbers with icons, pictures etc., This phone has a capable of writing messages in hindi, add addresses and contacts in hindi. One more advantage of this phone is although this looks bulky than C100 it is only 87grams.
This phone has dedicated speaker located behind the phone so more loud ringtones is traffic conditions when compared with C100, C110 which has common speaker for earpiece and rings. Once while navigating thru the menus I accidently came across the Irda options. When enabled I even got the symbol of Irda activated. But never again able to navigate to that option since this feature is disabled in this phone which means the software used in this phone has some errors.
This phone has two built-in JAVA games Snowball Fight and Bubble Smile which claims to be factory installed games and cannot be deleted, but it can be deleted. The phone menus are same like as Samsung E800. Over all this phone is good who wants color phone, polyphonic tones, MMS, GPRS etc., for such a price.
