I liked this handset when I saw it mainly because of the big screen that takes up almost half the area, and the slim, lightweight and ergonomic design. The phone has a sense of proportionality and layout that is quite difficult to find in many other comparable handsets. I chose to buy it through a proper retail dealer, rather than grey market, where most Samsung phone begin and end with the C-100. But this is must better than the latter because of its big screen and better colours.
The menu is quite intuitive and does not require you to go through the manual. It took some time to find the games section, but other than that navigation is simple and inputting data can be done with minimal keystrokes.
I had a Nokia 3350 earlier purchased at a similar price and I can safely say that this is far superior. Having said that, it is only fair to point out some of the limitations. The ringtones, nice as they are, are not easy to hear, especially when you have some music or the TV running in the background. The Nokia was much better in this regard, with its sharp, if lesser musical ringtones.
The Samsung also does not have the facility to attach a neck strap, which is OK with me, but a little difficult for the ladies.
I would recommend others to go in for this phone for the easy to read screen, excellent overall layout, lightweight slim design and ease of navigation and input.
