I got this model recently (about a month). I was in a fix earlier as to which camera model to go for, as there are so many in the market. But then at the time of buying, I compared the basic features like camera photo quality, ring-tones etc, and all my confusion was literally washed away by the X600. Believe me its simply THE BEST you can lay your hands upon.
The camera resolution is superb. Its 180 degree rotation camera gives you the ultimate flexibility to take pictures, which is one of the most striking features, not available in most other camera phones.
The flash in camera phone is a first (I believe), but its more like a flashlight in the dark. Its illumination range is very short, so its no use using it as a real camera flash in the dark. The ring-tones provided are excellent, and the big thing is they are really loud, which is something lacking in most other polyphonic cells.
The stub antenna irritates a little, but not too much, its still very compact, light weight, and robust.
It has an infrared port but not so much of use because how many PC’s have an IRDA in it? Only Laptops owners can really benefit from it. Anyway, I got a USB data cable separately for around 550 bucks. Now I can see the real use of the camera, ring-tones etc. Only now I can download the ring-tones available at the Samsung Fan Club website (samsungmobile.com). They’ve some really nice collection. Though their wallpaper collection is all cartoons only...not interesting.
About the software, well its very userfriendly to use for even a first timer. But it lacks some features like ability to send or recieve ring-tones from your friends. Even you cannot download them from websites by sending an SMS (This is one feature I envy Nokia guys for).
Finally, for a price of 11500 bucks (in B’lore), I believe X600 is the best one can get and that too this cheap... Its even better than a lot of its much costlier counterparts like Nokia, Siemens, motorola etc. JUST GO FOR IT... IT PAYS
