Why you SHOULD NOT BUY SAMSUNG AC
I have two 1.5 Ton Samsung Acs – one with 5 star rating and other with 3-Star Rating. Both are bad in quality.
Experience:
5-Star Rated AC:
Bought in 2010.
Within 2 years, the compressor had to be changed
Within 3 years, the condenser had to be changed
Within 4 years, the plastic cross flow fan blades broke and the AC used to rattle. The problem was detected and new fan blade had to be installed.
On all the above instances, gas had to be changed because of the compressor leakage.
Last year, in 2015, the AC was serviced and gas refilled. Now the AC is not working.
Now, the AC is not working. The service fellow says, Compressor is out of order and has to be changed. Is it an AC or anything else? For an AC of Rs. 35, 000, I have already spent Rs. 20, 000 on maintenance. Another Rs. 10, 000 for the compressor .
Nothing can be more screwed up than Samsung. Bloody cheats!
Complaints do not yield results.
3-Start Rated AC:
Bought in 2011.
Within 1 year, gas leaked out.
Within 2 years compressor stopped working and had to be changed.
On its third summer again, gas had to be refilled.
I got swayed by claims and made the mistake of buying Samsung ACs.
Make wiser decision. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG AC. The are lousy. Spend little more and buy Daikin or Carrier or O-General or Hitachi … I am happy with my 2 Ton Panasonic AC.
