Well, I have an older version of this same fridge (SRS20DTD); however the price range and specifications are similar. We had purchased the fridge because of the larger freezer space and convenience of storage. The cooling in the fridge is just brilliant and the freezer space is great. The fridge storage does get a little cramped for the conventional Indian home like ours, where food is cooked in larger quantities. But I would definitely recommend it to people who store food in compact storage boxes rather than larger vessels.
However on delivery, the ice and water dispensers weren’t completely functional. The Samsung technician attributed the problem to the water pressure in our house. I had reluctantly accepted the reason only to contest it a few months later. The technicians had changed some settings recently due to my persistence but claim that what they have done would have adverse effects on the performance. He refused to clarify what those adverse effects were. Claiming for a manufacturing defect too was just a farce as the deal was unreasonable and the warranty period had lapsed by then.
Also, a defect in the LC Display took about 10 months for a replacement as spares weren’t available!!!
This is a great fridge, but the pain taken to fix minor problems is not worth the money you pay for it. Unfortunately, the same price I paid for a defective one!!! Almost two years since I purchased the fridge, the ice dispenser is functional but not the water dispenser. I am fed up trying to get it fixed.
