I purchased this hand set 7months back for 8000 + paid 800 to HotSpot (Hyderabad) for 2 years extended warranty...
Now (17th Sep 2010 ) the market price of samsung is around 5900 - 6300.
Problems :
1: Touch pad stopped working after 5 months, I have seen many peoples having the same problem not only with S5233S , it is with the series of 5233 phones like star, star 3G, star Next.
2: Service center peoples took 15 to 20 days to get it repaired. After I got the hand set from service center I noticed the touch pad was replaced with a new one, and there was some white color lines on the edges ....this clearly states that finishing was not done properly, may be they had many phone to work on....
3: It says that it is expandable to 8GB and it does, but the phone slows down, you don’t want a touch screen to slow down....., it works f9 with 2GB which came with the hand set.
4: Samsung is releasing new handset every 5-6 months with one added feature per hand set.......so when u get a new one u feel its outdated after 3-4 months..... :(
5: Comes with limitted features ....no 3G, Wifi....... :(

1: I like this handset bcoz its very slim and good looking......
2: Since the prices went down from 8k to 6k its not bad to try....
3: Internet access is very good.....default browser is not that good .....better you install Opera Mini Browser it allows multiple tab browsing without slowing down....(Default Browser is slow)
4: Picture Quality is good only in Day Light. Night time or with low light pic is not that good.
5: Touch experience is OK
