I wanted to but a phone which had touchscreen, qwerty keyboard, 3-2 above mp cam, min 3" screen. n all other features, my budget was 15000. but I settled for this phone just bcoz of 1 reason. Price. I never dreamed that one day i’ll buy a samsung phone, but this phone forced me to be a samsung customer. N believe me it was a good decision to go with this phone.
Soo many people r complaining abt abscence of wifi n 3g. I dont know what make them think that all those high end features can come in this price. at just 9500 samsung is providing a whole lot of features than u expect.
The touch screen is having good response and is very easy to use.
it doesnt have a stylus slot, but u’ll never need it, I use all the features just with my left thump.
sound quality is good, but not as good as sonyericsson. sometimes I can hear slight disturbances while playing high bass music.
Many r complaining abt the quality of headphones, But 4 me, it was one of the best. good headphone quality, no disturbances even at high volume.
The user interface is very userfriendly n easy to use. there are a lot of features like message locking, file locking, etc.
highly customizable user interface with a lot of useful widgets.
Theaccelorometer is working perfectly while viewing video n using querty keyboard. within one day u’ll get used to touch screen typing. its not a menace as I thought it would be.
Battery backup is good. even after using the phone whole day long, the battery didnt go off. nice performance when considering the fact that it had a 3" screen.
Pics taken using the cam is also good, but not something great. just like any other 3.2 mp cam without autofocus.
There are just two themes in the phone. it would be better if we were able to download themes.
i’m using net through phone, so didnt have any problem with installing any application.(i’ve read that phone is not supporting java apps when transfered from computer). comapared to windows mobile, this OS is really fast n have good response.
The inbuild samsung browser is not upto the mark. even if they says it supports images n flash. most of the time it wont appear. and its taking a lot of time to load pages when compared to opera mini. orkut site dont even load in this browser.Using opera in touch screen is a bit tough. its hard to type site address and opera doesnt repond to touch as the inbuild browser.altogether, browsing is a bit tough.
The PC Suite shipped along with the phone is the worst piece of software I ever seen in my life. I wonder how can any1 design such a crap. userfriendliness is a far dream for the PC suite. it took me a loong time just to connect my phone to pc n transfer files. they have done a total mess with the software.
overall, its the best phone u can get at this price.fully loaded,
