Samsung 753s !!! A very nice monitor for my computer! Let me begin with its ruggedness! I use my computer everyday for around 18 hours and this monitor remains ON for most of the time. Inspite of using the monitor to such a great extent, its not shown any signs of ’’fatigue’’.
Now, i’ll come to the images onscreen. They are very crisp and clear! More than sufficient for a home computer! I have a very useful software that can measure a monitor’s performance (technical stuff like horizontal lines, vertical lines, sync, etc... ) and according to the software, my monitor comes out with great results with each of its tests! The monitor supports low resolutions as well as high resolutions (upto 1280X1024). even at such high resolutions, I dont see any ’’blurring’’ of screen images ...not even in the corners; nor do I see any flickering or jumpy display.
The colors are vivid and clear. There is no ’’bleeding’’ of colors or any such chromatic abberations (if thats the term I can use here). The edges stand out distinctly and are very crisp!
I have been using this for almost 2 years now and I have had no problems at all! Well, actually, I had a minor problem with the display having a ’’shimmering’’ effect to it. But, when I called up service, I got a prompt technician, who solved the problem in 5 minutes! Great service I must say!
Now, to the interface. A very convenient button interface with an onscreen menu does the trick (as with most of today’s monitors!). Four buttons on the front panel and a power button are very well laid out. Looks good too! Infact, the ’’SLIM’’ design is a very good feature, which enables people with less desk space to tuck it away neatly in one positon!
Finally, all I have to say here is that this monitor has given me good..infact...excellent service. Although it heats up a little (well..which monitor doesnt?!?!), its a really good monitor with great picture clarity! It could have been improved by providing support for higher resolutions (upto 1600 X 1200 ).
