I bought my samsung 17 inch 753s monitor 3 yrs back...then it was the best monitor available @ 7000 bucks the reviewers of Chip and other PC mags were goin ga ga over this product from samsung
after 2 yrs the monitor started showing troubles , first some horizontal lines appeared on the screen , but this came only intermittantlyl, so I could not call the service personnel over my place and show him the defect ... after that there was a magenta tint on the monitor screen making one side of the monitor not readable,
at this point I called the concerned service personnel........and with much hesitation he came over to my place and that too after 2 days. he just casually checked the monitor and tried to degauss it .....after that thing failed he asked me to bring the monitor to the service centre
the next day I gave my monitor for servicing ...they retained the monitor for 2 whole weeks and after many phone calls they returned the monitor, but the problem is not completely rectified, they r sayin that they hav to send this monitor to some other place to get some Chip replaced...(they wont provide a stand by ). I dont know why these samsung people r having service centres if they cannot solve a defect in their own product.
so friends , dont expect the samsung people to replace or even repair the defective product on time.
