OK Performer, value for money

I recently purchased the samsung x700. Previously I was using the nokia 3510, which I had for about 2 years. I had short listed the sony ericsson 810, new nokia 6233 or the n70. I had been interested in x700 after looking at the specs on the web. Somehow at the shop I ended up buying the x700. The display is good and colourful. It is fairly simple to use and the menu is straight forward. The keys are quite small compared to my previous phone and is not ideal for someone with stubby fingers. Texting can be a bit of a problem. It has decent battery life, not a problem for my usage. The camera is good for a mobile phone and in good light takes decent pictures. The mp3 player is satisfactory playing either through the speakers or the head phones. It does not play files with higher than 128kbps. It only comes with a 64 mb card and I have been told by the guy in the shop that it will take up to 1 GB card. I have not used the FM radio a great deal because it needs the head phone inserted for the reception. This is annoying because you need to carry the headphone with you for FM radio. I hope a manufacturer will come with a phone that will receive FM signal without the head phones. When you play the mp3 player you can’t use the phone for anything else apart from receive calls. This phone does not have edge even though some websites mention this. Maybe models in other countries has the edge facility. It is light, good reception and voice quality is good. It is pretty and decent phone, but nothing to get excited about. For the price it is a good package.
