Is he the same guy.

Friends Sanath Jayaurya the sri lankan cricketer came into cricket specially as a bowler but eventually proved to be as batsmen.

I still remember the years of 1996/97/98 when this guy had created a havoc in the world of cricket, it all started from the 96’s world cup when Sanath along with his opening partner Kalu started devouring the bowlers in the early 15 overs.

His batting was just worth wacthing he was so much popular that people used to get crazy when he used to arrive at the crease they all knew that his it going to be a catch practice session for the spectators. Every ball he would look to smash over the ropes, there was tremendous power behind every stroke he played he wouldn’t care the class of the bowler and the line and lenght that was being bowled to him only only thing he looked was anyhow to wack the ball into the stands.

Even I was crazy about him and never wanted him to fail in his innning even if the match was against India.

But now its all over what has happaned to him is unknow he has just stopped it and has turned his mind to play more classically even in the first 15 overs now there is no craze about him when he arrives at the crease to bat, he has truely become a boring stuff to watch in comparision to his earlier career as mentioned above. He never looks like wacking the ball too often, I agree that he still hit big knocks but, they are not hit by him in his stlye but are more classically and I think there is no famine of classical batsmen in todays cricket and I think he should be an Unique.

At last I would like to say that if he doesn’t bring out his hidden talent and start playing his normal game then his name is sure to be forgotten soon.
