I have purchased this flash drive last year and it still works fine. About the functionality, it does the job as specified. It gives around 15-30 MBps copy speed and write speed is a little bit slow but still better than other USB 3.0 flash drives available in the market. To get the real performance, you have to plug it in a 3.0 USB port on your laptop/PC. Otherwise, it just works like an ordinary Pendrive.
It doesn’t heat up easily but with time it gets a little bit warm. But it’s normal. I haven’t noticed any reduction in the speed of data transfer. The transfer speed while copying compressed or files other than photos and videos, it’s a little bit slow.
It’s user-friendly. You dont need any drivers to make it work. It;s just plug and play. About the aesthetics, it’s not eye-catching for sure. You could get some good looking flash drives from other makes. The slider provided to move the USB in and out serves as a protection.
While purchasing this flash drive you are also getting the one-year license of Sandisk Rescue pro, which is a software to recover lost data from the flash drive if you have formatted it by accident.
I haven’t got a chance to experience the service and support of SanDisk. I believe as they are making such amazing products, their after sales service would also be great.
