I bought my HTC Tattoo from Sangeetha Mobile Store Forum Mall in Jan’10. Got it for 16K with OBC bank mobile insurance cover for one year. Liked the deal since I was too happy to have my first android phone so didn’t bother much about some stupid offers of theirs which by the way there was none on HTC Tattoo at that time apart from this mobile insurance cover. I found the mobile price comparable with other stores.
Now buying mobile accessories from them?
A straight & a big NO from my side. They asked Rs300 for my HTC Tattoo’s screen lamination and an outrageous amount of Rs700 for my HTC car charger. S ! I saw something fishy. Came back.
While down the road infront of Raheja Arcade I got the same HTC car charger for Rs500 (off course with warranty & bill) and the screen lamination (same lamination company) for Rs100 from a Mobile shop near to my home. Man I was about to pay Rs400 extra for this stuff.
Since for most of the accessories the MRP will not be written on them (as happened with these 2 things), so they can quote any amount for them. But I was intelligent & lucky enough to not to buy those stuff from them. Guys always do a bit of research about what to buy and what not to buy from shops like these. Because, as in my case, paying Rs. 400 extra for a Rs. 600 stuff matters.
And by the way i’m loving my Android HTC Tattoo. Can’t think of going ever back to Symbian.
