Sania Mirza India’s leading lady in the tennis world seems to display a bravado attitude not at all caring about seedings and rankings and just playing her game which is evident in the way she has travelled from The Australian Open as a player from oblivion to the US open as No.50 in the world.It’s sheer hardwork that has led her there say some people.But is it all justified.Dont spoil the blooming star by making her over-confident what with some sections hailing her as India’s Sharapova.First of all Sania doesn’t stanbd anywhere near Sharapova in looks and sacrifices made.it takes real pain to be away from your parents and that too in far away land and Maria did it.We can also term sania’s run as very lucky as after the hyderabad Open which she won mainly due to the crowd which was cent percent behind her she couldnt go past 2/3 rounds and garnered points.If only had she concentrated a bit more on her game she could have even won a few more tournament and also broken into the Top 10 of the WTA tour.Sharapova’s fierce serve and forehand games is better suited against the titans of the WTA than Sania’s Powerful backhand whereas she needs to concentrate a bit more on her serve.It is clear that Sania although doesnt deserve all this hype and hoopla that sorrounds her, she could well be India’s Sharapova atleast a Henin Hardenne who will with pride carry India’s hope high.
