No for Lasik and Epi-Lasik.

I went to this hospital to get my eye check up done for Epi-lasik surgery. The doctor said you have corneal thickness of 450 micron which is thin. So you may not be a candidate for Epi-lasik surgery. She said me to come back after 6 months for another follow up to check if my eye power has stabilized or not. After 6 months I did an eye check up at Shankara Nethralaya, Chennai just for a second opinion about this. But they measured my corneal thickness to 530 micron. I was shocked to hear that.

My corneal thickness was among the best and this is an important parameter in surgery like Lasik and Epi-lasik. I had read some bad reviews about this hospital too and Shankara Nethralaya is the best in what they do. So I did the surgery at Shankara Nethralaya and after 1 month I am seeing really really good. I still don’t understand why the thickness parameter differed to that extent. So before you decide to go for Lasik and Epi-lasik here in sankara eye hospital, do take a second opinion at some other good hospital. If you want to know more about my experience at Shankara Nethralaya, you can visit my blog at the following link.
