We went to Saputara via Nashik. Saputara is 80 kms from Nashik. We stayed at a hotel called as Hotel Savshanti Lake Resort.
This hotel is the best placed hotel in entire Saputara. Reason, it is situated exactly near the Saputara lake. Each of the rooms have a lake facing view. Each rooms have balconies in it. You can enjoy your meals in the balcony and have a view of the lake.
Also the food served here(Punjabi, Chinese and Gujarati) is excellent. You can have the food in their lawns near the lake as well.
Saputara does not have a bank located. Always carry ample cash, most of the hotels do not accept credit cards.
Entire Saputara can be covered in a single day. It has excellent boating facilties. There exist a ropeway owned and managed by vaityresorts.
There are other places around saputara such as hathgad fort, vasand national park, botanical garden.
Vasand national park is about 50 kms away from Saputara near Waghai. Only travel that far if you have a bigger vehicle like a Scorpio, Tavera, Sumo etc, because the road inside the national park is quite bad and you might end up damaging your small cars like wagon-r, santro, honda.
A good place for around 3 days.
