I had been to saputara recently in feb 2009. I just wanna to make u all guys aware of the fact that its not as really happening place as its hyped to be.
Please make sure that you visit this place at proper time. and that time is Monsoon Season. As I mentioned we had been thr in Feb expecting to breathe cool air and being away from mumbai for a weekendd but the place really "SUCKED". I am sorry to use this word but thts true. The place is so small that it hardly takes 3 hrs to visit entire Saputara.
Yes there are some falls and Forests nearby but those are worth seeing only in rains. Dont bother to see if u r going long after rains.The ONLY HAPPENING thing I cud mention is rope valley
Please dont miss this. its at SUNSET POINT. Rest all places are not really good. Even I found people very boring and not at all helpful. No one was really ready to tell sbt the places nearby not even the Hotel Manager Waise places hain hi nahi toh woh batate bhi kya par still. Yaar isse better toh mumbai hain re. You have so many places to explore. Posting this just to make sure no one makes the mistake of visiting this at such a wrong time
