Watched the much talked abbout "BIopic" Sarbjit. A naive punjabi farmer from a border village crosses over to Pakistan in an inebriated state, gets caught by the Pakistani Security forces and becomes a victim of mistaken identity.He was mistaken for Ranjit Singh who was responsible for bomb blasts at Lahore and elsewhere.Despite Sarabjit’ s pleadings of his innocence, he gets torchored and imprisoned there. His sister Dalbir Kaur’ s struggle, ordeals and fighting with the judiciary, Govt and the Powers that be, to get her brother released from Pakistan jail forms the crux of the story. . It is widely publicised as Sarabjit’ s biopic, but in reality you get to watch two biopics.one of Sarabjit’s and the other of his sister Dalbir Kaur’s.
Aishwarya Rai cast in the character of Sister(Dalbir Kaur) gave a stellar performance.This is going to be her best film to date of her entire film career.The character offers her a wide scope to prove her acting skills to the hilt.Never before did she emoted so well.There are one too many heart wrenching scenes. The performance of Randeep Hooda as Sarabjit was the best in his career.the most powerful performance ever by him.Randeep despite being around in Bollywood for quite some years, never got an opportunity to display his acting prowess so far. He did a marvelous job and he sure is going to create furore in the Industry with this film.
Excellent movie and smart acting of both actor and actress.Nice act by all. Omung kumar has done good. It does not goes loose anywhere. Aishwarya has played her part of Dalbir Kaur with full justice. Randeep Hudda, Richa chaddha marks a massive impact to make story of Sarbjit into crying tears.A must watch to understand the importance of a normal life.
