Sarfarosh Director.. Sarfarosh Writer

Most of the Bollywood movies twist around similar kind of stories, may those be based over crime, love or any other subject. But this one is really great… a new kind of plot… and also too bold to handle.

The movie revolves around a CBI Officer, ACP Ajay Rathore (Aamir Khan) who is assigned the duty of unmasking the suppliers of ammunition to local bandits in India. The senior secret agent of the suppliers (Naseeruddin Shah) is a Ghazal Singer who has come to India officially for some shows. Aamir Khan, along with his assistant Mukesh Rishi and team, manages to finish all the agents in India.

The subject was very bold... and the dialogues were even bolder. Mentioning the names like Pakistan and ISI in each dialogue was a bold style. It used to happen in Hollywood Movies a long time back. They used to mention names like USSR, KGB, Saddam Hussain etc. But Indian Censor never dared to permit. I feel the rules are changed for now... or may be the writer has noticed the loop holes...

All the characters were totally justified by the writer. Each one suited the role he / she was given. Even the mother of one of the villains (who appeared on only one scene in the whole movie) left a lasting impression. The performances were far too brilliant. Mukesh Rishi suited his role very much. The songs were also good but appeared like hindrances. Sonali was just a tag. The fight scenes, chases and the styles of Crime Branch Officials was too close to the real life.

The director gave total justice to each situation he made up in the movie... the atmosphere at the Police Station... in contrast with that at Hero’s home...!! Perfect!!
