I think all fimy janta of india would have definitely seen Sarkar.’Sarkar’ was a movie which was totally different from the movies being made in current bollywood. With Sarkar, you could relateto Godfather, you could relate to politics, you could relate to Maharashta. It is one of the favorite’s of bollywood-How a U.S. returned boy, well educated, stay-away-from-violance, a boy with pretty gf, gives it all to enter his dad’s political league. Not only that, he had to take life of his own bro in midst of all this drama.
Then comes Sarkar Raj.sequel of Sarkar. Obvioulsy, as last time, we are having very high hopes from Ram Gopal Verma. Afterall he is known for making films differently. But what we end up seeing in Sarkar Raj is just.the bachhan family get-together.
The first half is good though. But as the roll pulls down, you start getting bored. Especially the last 15 minutes are a torture to you, when they show Sarkar-Amitabh Bachhan regretting in front of Shankar’s portrait that bcoz of him he has lost his sons, daughter-in-law(Sorry.if u did not want the plot to be relealed) and if he knew all this beforehand he wouldnt have asked Shankar to join him.blah blah blah.some boring stuff which made people yawn and hardly anybody was interested in listening to. Then the next scene. Amitabh asking his wife to get Cheeku(his grand-son) here as he wants somebody to take charge after him. when they picturising Sarkar as a tough character who stands on each and every word of his, why did they put this scene just after the scene of Sarkar’s remorse?
And finally.the last scene-Aishwarya sitting on a chair in Sarkar’s house, talking to some people about business, then she turns and says.’ek chai dena’ and then then the names of cast and crew occupy the screen. Couldnt they have thought of any other dialog than this? Couldnt they have come up with any other ending than this?
Somehow, I couldnt relate to movie at all.
For me it was just a bachhan family show and nothing else.
Ofcourse, abhishek has done full justice to his role with his acting and has thus given a mind-blowing performnace, Aiswarya is also looking good in all-proffessional-attire, Tanisha was looking pretty in saaree.
What I did not like is.the end. It has disappointed me a lot. something good and meaningfull was expected by Ramu.not just a bachhan show. Bcoz of that.a two star rating.
