Going for a Ramu’s movie, I thought it would end up on the lines of D Company, but this movie gave me a TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE.. Inspired by GodFather(although very minimal), it tries to portray an image of Bal Thackeray and Shiv Sena in Mumbai mixed with the Godfather elements.
Amitabh Bachhan does a great job, Abhishek bachhan does a great job..BUT above all, the other theatre actors that Ramu hired for this movie did a PHENOMENAL acting...At times it seems that the movie is getting real slow....but when you come out of the theatre, you would feel delighted that you actually bought tickets to this movie....This would certainly not be appreciated by those, who watch all those Yash Johar, Suraj Barjatya movies, with those marriage songs...coz this movie doesn’t have such a story...Its something that could be close to reality....I could be biased because I am a big fan of Ramu’s movies and his style..but its worth a look...and if you have read ’’GodFather’’ by Mario Puzo..don’t try to compare it..you are just ruining your happiness !!
