Being an Amitabh and RGV Fan, I have been waiting for the release of this much hyped movie. I got my moneys worth watching Big B on the screen in a good RGV movie.
However, there was no thrill in the movie post interval as the plot is known and also Amitabh didnt have much post interval. Abhishek emerged out to be a winner in the movie. Infact, I felt that its an Abhisheks movie rather than Amitabhs. May be Big B planned it like that.
Its a pity that RGV also could not utilize Big B totally. Hey Ramu, did you watch Black and the intense scenes from Khakhi. I was expecting you to give a good meaty role to the old lion. And Ramu, this movie has the shades of your old Telugu Movie - Gayam. Doesnt it? I have realized that you are not that a genious and your creativity too is very limited. Neverthless you have brought in a fresh air to Indian Cinema. I would expect you to try newer concepts - not just the underworld and ghost movies. Already Mani Ratnam and Subhash Ghai have joined the list of disappointing directors. Now you pls dont join that list. Come on - Try something new. Ek Hasina Thi by your assistant was a far better movie. Ab tak chappan was another cool flick. I didnt like the repetitive bhoot though it was a hit.
My advice - Make some fast paced entertainers like dhoom with your crisp magic and thrill added to them, if you want commercial success. No body can deny success. So dont be a hypocrat. At the same time, dont beat around the same bush and be bold as you are, to try new things even though they might not always click. We expect new things from you. And Its enough that you gave Gayam, Satya, Company, D and now Sarkar.
I was just expressing a slight disappointment with RGV there.
Coming back to Sarkar. I liked the pre-interval portion just for Amitabh. Post interval was predictable, however Abhishek was really good. And RGV has failed to get the goods delivered from the best acting talent he had on hand. On the whole Sarkar is a Must Watch for every Amitabh fan. It will be an earner at the box office as its definitely a good film among the many that were released this year. However, I hope it were a big hit.(you get the words - Pls Underline -I Hope)
Big B sure has Viruddh - which looks more promising in exploiting his acting talents than Sarkar. And for the same reason is next in my waitlisted movies.
