This is such fresh breath of air, such a pleasant change from K serials.
It is been 2 weeks the serial is started. well, it looks like promoted as a big serial and big star cast too.
Of course, a serial based on the life and politics of chief minister is supposed to be big. It is going smooth so far and interesting. In the first episode itself the CM - Vir pratap singh gets shot and while he is on death bed the politics starts for the upcoming CM. There comes Priyavada who is CM’s wife and obvious eligible candidate for CM. Though there are no so happy people in the party , she stands out as new CM . The actress has given full justice to her role and she is commanding enough to play the role of a CM
On her personal background , she has 2 sons and a daughter. Elder son - Kunal( check the exact name) pratap singh played by ronit roy. He is not interested in politics and has liking for IT industry and wish to go out of state so that he does have to behave as CM’s son, which is great. However CM- his mom is not willing for this. Where Kunal’s wife seems to be balancing mom and her son. She convinces kunal to stay back and not to leave his mom alone at this point of time..They have 2 kids . Acting by ronit is ok/average or rather not that great. Wife’s acting is good and she handles the role very well.
Younger son - Karan Pratap singh- played by Rohit roy. he is a brat. He is taking law in his hands everywhere as he is CM’s son , very hot tempered and taking advantage of fact being mom as CM. Rohit plays his character the best and get cheer in the serial. His girlfriend is a upcoming actress who is with him in all his brat- playful ness as CM’s son . However CM- Mom is not in favor of this girlfriend..
Then there is Krutika who is CM’s daughter. She was close to father as he was really well-wisher of people , She does not get along with her CM mom as she thinks mom is more of political ..yes she is. Krutika used to love a guy from oppo party however gets married to a guy where her mom wanted her too-- this is flashback through dialogues. Now she is window and a very sad person. Actress is good , acts well- no much scope though.
Now pros -- The basic concept of serial is very good , apart from the usual ones- saas bahus etc. The actors are very good and they all give powerful performance, dialogues are written well
Cons-- The overall sets of the serial. The scene where CM is shot --shows obvious blood bags poring ketchup or alike..which is more funny . Also when the new CM- Priayavada announces the death of the CM- he husband , there are only 8/10 people as audience. can you imagine this ? ..There will be riots/havocs/media in fact when this is real..not expected from a promoted big serial like this.
However it is watch able as time pass, as yet they are sorting out characters and I guess it will pick up few weeks later..
