I read Satanic Verses and I was amazed that this was the book
which created such a furore.
I think most of the people wont agree with me, but I say that
it was one of the most boring books I have ever read.
Infact salman rushdies other book Midnights Children was equally
boring.In this book what created the controversy is the story of mohammad.
It is said that after very detailed research Salman has written about him.
In the book theres a story that Mohammad compromises with the
local tribal leader of Mecca and says that Allah has to be prayed along ’with
three pagan godess which was against the basic rules of Islam.
I think the langauge used in the book was very nice.It is a literary work
but definetly it is not for people who read book for entertainment.
Infact I was confused in the story begining itself.You have to read it concentrately
in order to understand the whole novel.
