Do you feel at times that everything in this world is a sham? That life itself is a one act play...that misery is around at every corner. Do real life incidents of killings, rapes, bribery, corruption, terrorism etc make you feel like this world is not worth it?? Do you feel like standing back and giving a lecture to every person in the world about how each of us has this ONE life to live, and ONE planet to live in...and that it is this planet that we leave to our children and those who come after us....about being one with all of nature, the birds, bees, animals, plants (and ofcourse that means, starting with man itself!)?? Do you??? Then again do you think it would not be worth it because not many would listen since their eyes are shut, and their ears sealed...??
The wasting rainforests, the wars, the dwindling species of animals, the hatred for ones own kind...do you think there is anything good in this world??
Ah...if that is the way you feel (and would I be wrong in saying that that is how the world is today?)...then you must listen to Louis Armstrongs WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD. I even downloaded the video of it the other day...Beautiful!!
Heres the https://lyrics...just picture the things he sings about...
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
Theyre really saying I love you.
I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
Theyll learn much more than Ill never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world
...check out the video! The mans voice carries this hope for the world. This song inspires me everytime I am down and bugged with the world! The conviction in Louis voice that it is truly a wonderful world is something I carry in my heart...! And it truly is...a wonderful world!!!!
