I was a little sceptic about the university as I read so many negative reviews but my parents, whom went to the university themselves, said not to care about the reviews and just go. So I did, and I never regretted my choice.
The most reviews I read was about the many rules and yes there are many rules, but if you handle them nicely then there is no fuzz. Nobody likes rules I think, especially not when it comes to the interference of your personal live. Though, that much interference it didn’t give.
I’m a true study animal but at the same time I also like to hang-out with friends and I think like any other person, I totally like to have my phone near me. Now that I think about it again, that was indeed a difficult time at first, having to leave my phone behind. The first week was to be very honest like hell! When I came back to the hostel I couldn’t wait to get my hands on my phone. However, after a week I was used to it and it just became an automatic behavior of not having my phone with me during the hole day. Why did I need it any way? My friends were around me to talk instantly to and during class I there was no time either way to be playing with my phone.
That is of course just one of the rules there, but as well for the others, it didn’t bother me as much.
Not being allowed to talk to male students was not much of an inconvenience either, but it was difficult some times. Just, I mostly ask just the first person I see whatever question I have. Mostly to ask where which classroom is, so it was an adjustment, but nothing to go crazy for or mad about.
If people would stop wining about the rules, which you will have during your whole life, then they could see how great the university actually is.
