Gold Medallist – Mechanical Department(2011-15 Batch)
Hi everyone,
My time at Sathyabama was nothing short of memorable. I joined the university in 2011 and have never regretted my decision of joining Sathyabama. I entered the university as an inquisitive student, wanting to discover the various fields of science and technology. The infrastructure and facilities provided by the university are incredible and I knew they were perfect for me to hone my skills. These facilities include the International Research Center, Central Library. The university also has collaborations with ISRO, NIOT etc., which inspired me further.
The first year was all about learning the basics of engineering, developing communication skills and sharpening of coding skills, a pre-requisite for any engineering graduate. In the second year, a lot of avenues opened up. Starting with the engaging curriculum, which helped students think at a totally different level. The Student Development Cell(SDC), consisting of different clubs like the English Literary Club, Mathematics Club, Science Club, Computer Science Club etc., assisted students in reinventing themselves as young intelligent engineers by providing them with different platforms.
In the third year, I concentrated on different co-curriculum activities. I was part of Enigmatic Warriors, the university motorsports team, which had taken part in SAE BAJA 2014, a national off-road motorsport event for college students. I was amongst a three member team, which presented a technical paper at the international conference OCEANS’ 14 at Taipei, Taiwan and happened to be the only undergraduates to attend it. The fourth year was dedicated to the final year project and placement preparations. With the enormous effort put in by the Management, Placement cell and the various departments, a placement record of above 90% was achieved. I successfully received offers from Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, for which I am grateful.
I take this opportunity to thank Sathyabama University for having transformed me into a young confidant professional. Thank You one again SATHYABAMA UNIVERSITY!
