Well, to begin with, I have watched over 40 films at Satyam Cineplex in the last 1.5 years or so. I have visited all six theatres atleast thrice if not more. Some movies, I have seen in the very first week of the release, some later and so on. With all these experiences at Satyam, I feel I can write a perfect review on the same.
To begin with, the minuses. If you are going to watch a new release at Satyam on Day two or day three, then you can expect a few interruptions while screening. This is one area Satyam can work on. I experienced these interruptions for Pirates of Carribean Part 3, Shootout at Lokhandwala, and so on. But the most horrible experience was while watching Jodhaa Akbar. It had 4 interruptions and one of them was 20 long minutes. This problem is there only during the initial days of screening.
But otherwise, Satyam is a great experience and most importantly good value for money. Even an average film like Deepavali looked good in Satyam. The sound effect and picture quality are genuine. But during the period of renovation, we could hear sounds of thrashing and hitting going around while watching a movie. Also I have noticed a phenomenon at Satyam. After interval, in all six theatres, the AC temperature reduces. I dont know why, but it feels very cold post interval.
As a matter of fact, good movies can be appreciated only at Satyam. Also the negative I mentioned are minor flaws when compared to other theatres which are nowhere near it. Undoudtedly, Satyam has the best seating facility. INOX is poor when it comes to Seats. One thing we never miss out at Satyam is the Popcorn stuff. It is really delicious.
One last word about Satyam is that, they are constantly trying to improve. Be it their hospitality or quality, the effort to make it still better is biggest strength of Satyam. So, if you are based in Chennai and want to watch a movie(be it anything), Satyam is the best option.
