Vegeterian Fare

Satvaa means Authentic

Tucked away in Khar Danda and earlier more famously called ShubhAngan..this pure vegeterian restaurant has been renovated and reopened under new management after the earlier Shubhangan failed to make any waves.

Very good property that also doubles up as a Hotel cum Conference centre for 20 to 200 people..this little restaurant boasts of very limited clientele that is more local in nature. Serves decent Vegeterian fare at very attractive prices..read value for money.

We paid just Rs.275/- per person for a get together of about 20 friends for a sumptous lunch with 4 starters, 3 main course veg and dal and the accompanying raita. roti, choice of soups and dessert. Couldn’t have asked for more at this price .. cool pleasant decent ambience .. secluded from the buzzing crowds and well appointed bar.

Ample parking .. and an open air terrace that offers a spectacular view of the Arabian sea and the vast expanse of khar danda and its adjoining secret private beach of the poor and in-famous Koli fishermen.

You have to go the terrace to view this huge expanse of undiscovered land to realise that it beats Parel and the Mill Lands when it comes to sheer un-marked open lands and slums. Just wait till the Sherlock Builders get to take a bird’s eye view of this opportunity in the property market and they will descend on it like eagles to their prey.

But since we are here more for the food review than the property .. I sincerely recomend the Vegeterians to give this place a try .. chinese and indian tandoori food at a Happy Price with a not too crowded atmosphere .. a lot more privacy .. best for group or family get togethers, mini parties, birthday celebrations, small engagement paties and social outings.
