In a pleasant mood, with the thrill to watch my favorite actor Aamir Khan, I booked 4 tickets for 3 Idiots from Satyam Patel Nagar closest to my office for the evening show. Took a special permission from our BOSS (which is very difficult in our company). On the entry gate two frustrated ladies check you as if you are getting inside doors of a jail. Alas! I dont understand what good is the metal detector .if they make the optimum utilization of their hands (or otherwise they only want to make sure that their precious and expensive burgers and pop corns does not go waste).
After killing your self esteem they begin on their second target –laptop. I understand and am very cooperative if you cannot allow the device inside the doors of your sanitized cinema hall but how will you feel if the management tells you that they care a damn about your property N WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT N WILL NOT KEEP IT WITH THEM. Further, to add insult to the injury the lady guards checked me every time I stepped down from their four-step staircase to have a talk with their mangers just below the staircase in front of them.
For Christ’s sake, don’t disgrace an Indian like that that he/ she needs to give proof of their innocence at the cost of their respect and honor. All this process already delayed me for 25 minutes for the movie. I urged them to switch it on and see for themselves that it is a bomb or a human friendly device. All my requests went in vain.
Unless I asked for refund. The top management came into action when I asked for refund of money because we already missed 35 minutes of movie. Now, he was ready to keep the laptop and showed as if doing a lot of favor to me. The respectable manager questioned me that which Cinema hall in India will take responsibility of your Laptop, it is he who has done the most generous and kind act. Since we have booked tickets with lot of enthusiasm and others should not suffer for my sake, I did not take the option of refund.
After slaughtering my eagerness for the movie, spoiling my team mates and my mood, they took my laptop in their custody and allowed us in. But strained out of any temper for the show and with weepy eyes I sat down for the movie, hardly enjoying an iota of the super comical movie. Besides, their service behind the food counter is so depressing that we missed ten minutes more of the suspense following the intermission.
I must say SATYAM Patel Nagar needs to buck up in Customer Service before it needs to spend hours in front of flowery reviews about them.
