I think people are creating unnecssary hype over the issue of Saurav Ganguly’s suspension. (just like me) Everyone knows how slow India were against Pakistan. Ok there were a lot of pauses:
Imran Butt’s injury
Change of ball
Cleaning of shoes
Bla Bla and what not
But , come on maximum time allotted was 10:30.And we all know it went past mid night.
Even in test matches India’s over rate is slow , and mostly it serves no advantage to us.Just imagine had India batted first .what would have been the scenario.Imagine having to chase some 260 runs in 40overs. And so many times hes been fined for slow ovwr rate cant he learn .
Yeah...... I know he is India’s most succesful captain, good batsmen, etc.
But being succesful is no pardon for a suspenion.I really think such a punishment will atleast make him a bit more careful.And serve as a lesson for others .
Nobody should be allowed to bend rules and get away.
