Hi friends, i really fail to understand all this unprecedented buzz regarding sourav ganguly.in indian cricket, everything evolves around muscle of politics.fine, ganguly played like a king once and all appreciated and he also has benefitted from it.when dalmia was around he was free to do anything, but when the scene changed and in came mr pawar, mr greg chappel, his arrogant attitude was not tolerated and alongwith his downfall in form came numerous difficulties for him.has he not till now received accolades when he performed?was he not bestowed upon the role of captaincy?didn"t he get the multi-crore ad assignments?didn"t he get the power to run his team by leading them?.in life there is success and there is failure.when you taste the sweetness of success, you feel like a king, then when you fail, you should take responsibility for it and quit if neccessary to avoid insult.what average has he obtained in the last two years in one day and tests?very meagre, i say.Age is not a bar, but when one is not performing for a long time, then he shouldn"t wait for a long time to get ousted by the selectors which really hurts when you have been a very successful player like ganguly.Remember the great sunil gavaskar, who inspite of being in good form, retired.he scored a century in his last test.he didnot wait for the selectors to throw him out and instead chose the path of a gracious self exit.Ganguly must take example from this and in all humility retire very graciously and pave the way for the upcoming talented youngsters also whose talent are waiting to be exploited for the betterness of the indian team.They also have a right like the tendulkars, dravids and gangulys to become the next golden boys of indian cricket and make their country proud, but this can happen only when people like ganguly who have already become legends of indian cricket understand that they have already reached and enjoyed the highs for a long time now and since now when they are in the lows, it"s high time they quit and make way for the talented youngsters so they can also prove their mettle like ganguly did in his golden years, for which we will be definitely be proud of for years and years to come.
