We had booked in the month of August vehicles for our group travel to Hampi for 4 days commencing from 19 Th December to 22 Ned December
We had booked one Tempo traveller( 12 1 seater) and one Innova ( 7 1 seater)
The 100% payments for both these vehicle hires were made at the time of booking
Innova was booked for 1000 kms and Tempo for 1200 kms. Full payments were made for these. The kms were supposed to cover Bangalore Hampi return( 700 kms) and the balance for internal sight seeing in Hampi
In all we were 16 of us and all senior citizens including 9 ladies .All of us are of 65 plus
We were coming from Coimbatore and had asked both the vehicles to come to Krishnarajapuram station in Bangalore for pick up at 11.30 am on 19 th Dec. the pickups were confirmed and reconfirmed by Saavari
When we had reached Krishnarajapuram we could contact the driver of Innova only and he was waiting at the front gate entrance asked for by us. The tempo driver could be contacted much later and he had parked his vehicle on the back side instead of front. Again the driver told us that the designated vehicle for us had not arrived and the designated driver by Saavari had told him to take all of us 15 kms away from the station and he would be waiting in the high way to take us
We had 16 suit cases and with these we had to climb up the steps in the station to reach the back side of the station to locate the tempo traveler . The driver refused to come to the front gate where the Innova was parked. Imagine 16 senior citizens carrying their boxes, climbing up the steps to get into the tempo traveller
Even though we reached Krishnarajapuram at 12 noon. It took us another 90 minutes to locate and get into vehicles. We travelled for one hour plus and waited in the high way for the designated tempo traveller to come
The tempo designated for us arrived after 30 minutes of waiting in the high way in the hot sun with our luggages.
There was no AC in the tempo which took us to the high way
We started our journey to Hampi after 3 pm and could have our lunch at 4 pm on that day Thanks to Saavari
The tempo designated was supposed to be AC but the AC was not working at all
The tempo could not go beyond 40 kms speed if the AC was switched
Saavari took money from us for AC van and provided Non AC
100% cheating, !
The Innova was driving well till 8 pm and suddenly the AC got switched off
After going for another 30-45 minutes the Innova stopped. It was 9.30 pm at that time
We had to wait in the high way at 9.30 pm under dark pitch. No replacement vehicle was arranged. We had no other alternative than to get into tempo traveller all of us some of them standing until we reached Hampi at 11.00 pm
So to cover 350 kms. Saavari took almost 11 hours
I was sending regular messages to Saavari. Zero response from Saavari
For the next day20 th internal travel Saavari informed that the Innova was repaired and could be used. We started our tour at6 am on that day and in 15 minutes Innova broke down again
Still no response from Saavari
No replacement vehicle was given
We contacted the hotel and the hotel provided a car on payment basis. We informed Saavari on this and told them both in writing as well as on phone that Saavari should reimburse the cost incurred on local travel and verbally they agreed
As usual the tempo traveller was used without AC
There was no response from Saavari to provide replacement for Innova even for 21 st Dec for our internal tours. We had to use the hotel vehicle
After a lot of follow ups and speaking to Mr Prashanth two sedans were arranged for our return from Hampi to Bangalore in place of Innova. Innova in the initial run before it broke down covered 300 kms. The return for 6 of us by the sedans given in lieu of 7 seater Innova covered 350 kms. So we had covered only 650 kms in all as against 1000 kms paid for by us. We wrote to Saavari to reimburse us the internal travel of ours using hotel vehicle for 2 days amounting to Rs 6100( bill was sent) but in the last moment Saavari refused to honour our claim and in return they offered us Rs 3575.
Saavari billed us for AC tempo traveller but provided Non AC
For Innova which broke down no replacement vehicle was given for 2 days
We had to squeeze ourselves( 16 of us) in 12 seater with 16 suit cases in tempo traveller in the Last 50 kms from Bangalore to Hampi
Some of us had to stand and travel
The drivers of the vehicles were all the time busy on their mobiles. The worst was the tempo traveler driver He was chatting on Whatsup while driving on highway
We warned the drivers but they never bothered to listen
with ese horrible experiences all if us have decided not to avail the aervices of Saavari again and we will also convey our experience to our friends
