To my shock I’m posting a review on MS after a long time but was always loyal to the site. Reading Diary Post and reviews by Paulsb02, aaryesdee, Ajay_1977 and many ohers is always a treat for the eye. And then there are ladies too. It is good to have a community like this because we support each other, listen to what others have to say and the in-frangible trust we share.
How often it happens that you get to catch a wholesome movie with nice weather outside when it is still raining in the evening after a hectic day juggling in midst of traffic jams on road as we prefer it calling the side effects of the rain.
Side effect of visiting at sbarro, Italian eating joint eying to compete with the likes of pizza hut and dominoes is getting embarrased in the middle of the mall with waiter running at you and informing other people in the vicinity of the mall that the customer has not made a payment and is running away. The incidence is as crazy at it sounds but further more shameful for sbarro.
I have already sent a complaint to sbarro: It reads. I have never been so disheartened while eating out. I want to bring into attention of the concerned person that I have been threatened and abused by one of the staff member of sbarro India in city centre mall, gurgaon, India.
Hoping the matter would be taken up seriously I’m narrating the whole incident:
After catching a movie at the city centre mall, Gurgaon city, India at 11th september 2009 around 10:55 pm. We, I along with my brother decided to have a pasta at sbarro located at the first floor in the mall. There we asked for the takeaway order of Non-Veg Penne Pasta and ordered for garlic bread to have it eaten there only while the takeaway order gets ready.
The order taker and the person who abused us later on, decided to give a small portion of the pasta which was displayed in the display refrigerator complimentary to have it along with garlic bread at your sbarro outlet. After finishing the garlic bread while taking up the order (the takeaway pasta which we only asked for) and at the time of making the payment we noticed an almost empty box having very little pasta only at the bottom of the box.On asking what is this nonsense. He replied ’sir, I have served you half the portion already and it is the rest of it’
To this I shouted at him as no one was there in the restaurant at that time except for 3 of us. Me, my brother and the silly rascal. He said you have to pay for the order, and said he will cook more and fill the box for which he asked us to wait and sit for more time.
Feeling cheated I said I’ll pay for garlic bread only and cancel the pasta as it is only right way out it seemed as no one else was there to assume some responsibility. To my shock he refused to accept the payment of garlic bread and started abusing me asking for the full payment of pasta which I cancelled and which I decided not to accept as he was trying to fool, this made me real angry.
Be patient is the only thing which was running on my mind as I really got frieghtened what to do belonging to a well educated family and myself persuing MBA. I went out and he started following us in the mall to bring into attention of all the other people in the mall that we are running while not paying for the food. My brother even was ready to kick his arse. Being an elder brother I decided to be calm and take the issue seriously later on. We even complained with the security of the mall and they were also supporting us saying : This guy is like that only.
His eyes were fully red throughout the incident and the security guard at the mall said ’he is from nepal and there is some mental problem with him’. As we were in hurry as it was late in the night we did not tried to eject more details from the guards about that person.
He made us feel embarassed and refused to give out the contact number of the manager.I decided to not to visit sbarro at all in my life and even will run blogs narrating this incidence. Never ever eat at sbarro...I want you guys to respond. The movie I watched was district 9. Astonishing movie. WANT REVIEW....SHALL I WRITE IT? This incident made me come back to write a review on MS after a long time.
